El sr. Robert Smith, com un avi reverenciat, va cedint la seva gràcia i talent a les noves generacions d'artistes musicals; si a finals de l'any passat posava veu a Not in love dels Crystal Castles (també ho havia fet amb Blank and Jones, Junkie XL o Junior Jack). Curiosament, tots ells representants del 'dance' i la música electrònica.

Al sr. Smith, a la vellesa, l'estimulen les pistes de ball. Ara interpreta -amb el seu estil característic- TAKE FOREVER dels The Japanese Popstars, primer single del nou treball del grup: Controlling your Allegiance. La col·laboració del sr. Smith no es limita a posar-hi la veu, sinó que toca el baix (instrument preferit de l'ànima dels The Cure).
